53 / Reflection / The KIND Road

I came up with this idea as I was reflecting on the KIND brand. I thought about what

would make someone choose a kind bar over any of the other granola bars out there.

Two roads diverged in my busy life

And I think I’ve been here before

But I had to make a sacrifice

And so I thought about past advice

To decide what I would stand for

And in my heart, I knew the right thing

Because I was taught to be kind to your brothers

To serve the local community

Rather than be lazy and sit in front of the TV

How they choose the other, I will always wonder

Two roads diverged in my busy life

And I took the KIND road

Good taste, Healthy heart, Happy community

48 / Story / Looks Are Deceiving

Just as there are fraudulent people in the world that lie and cheat and steal from people, there are granola bars that will deceit you. This Kellogs cereal bar is loaded with sugar. It is not healthy, at all.

They trick you into thinking it is though. Some of the common things you might see on a granola bar:

All natural!

Made with real fruit

No high fructose corn syrup

Made with whole grains

What this all really means: sugar, carbs, and fat. Most bars are not what they claim although they might taste very delicious. KIND on the other hand has all natural ingredients you can taste and see! Nothing to hide with KIND

47 / Story / Bringing People Together

What is KIND? An ambiguous question I’ve been asking myself all semester…

According to Will and Scott the KIND brand = Good taste, good health, and goodness for the community

Well I think I’ve finally come up with an answer to this question.

KIND is simply what it is. KIND. and it brings people together.IPA-team-enjoys-Kind-Granola-1024x745

46 / Story / Lunchtime Bully

The story behind this post: In class we made stories about a dollar. My story goes something like this: Everyone knows of a bully. Maybe they experienced it in real life or remember one from their favorite TV show. Well this bully, his name is Andrew and his victims is Harry. Harry’s mom packs his lunch everyday with a little extra money to get something sweet from the lunch line. Well today after Andrew made his rounds for lunch money Harry was extremely upset. More upset than regular days because today was ice cream day. A girl by the name of Molly saw Harry sitting at the lunch table all by himself and decided to sit with him. Molly was also Harry’s crush since the 1st grade. Anyway, long story short. Molly gave Harry a KIND bar, and of course Harry loved it because it tasted awesome! When Harry came home from school that day he told his mom that he would rather have KIND bars than money for lunchtime. From then on out Harry didn’t have to worry about Andrew stealing his lunch money because he had KIND bars in his life, and he grew up to be a healthy kid.

42 / Motivation / Pay It Forward

Today I went to McDonalds and I decided to pay it forward. I went through the drive thru and decided to pay for the person’s food behind me. Not only did I pay for their food, but I had the cashier at the window give them a KIND bar in hopes that the next time they were hungry and needed a snack they would choose a healthier option. or maybe they would even pay it forward.
